To be active in ministry at
DEC Ministries you must be a tithe-paying member who has
completed the new members class. You will be required to
file an application and be interviewed by the head of
that
auxiliary. Some
ministries
may also
have
additional
requirements. For

**Men of Might and
Valor, Women of Heritage, 360 Degrees Youth Ministry,
and None Like Us Children's Ministry groups, do not
require the above criteria for attendance -- All are welcomed
to freely join in.
Church
Ministries
Deaconess
Appointed by the Pastor to assist with the preparation
and serving of communion on the first Sunday morning of
the month or during special services. Serving communion
a sacred ministry in the church. To be appointed as a
deaconess is a position of honor. Deaconess of DEC
Ministry must be accountable to Paul’s outline for
elders in the church in I Timothy 3:8-13. Meetings are
on a TBA basis.
Men of Might and Valor
Headed by the Pastor this auxiliary requires that men be
willing to be big brothers, mentors and father figure to
children in the congregation and community who do not
have fathers. MMV also raises funds and adopt special
interest projects according to the Pastor’s direction. Meetings are
on a TBA basis.
Ministers and Missionaries
Minister’s licenses in DEC Ministries are renewed
annually. All ministers are required to be above
reproach in lifestyle and action, and should show proof
of gifts and callings on a regular bases. In support of
the executive pastoral staff, ministers and missionaries
should be prepared to respond when called to duty at
home or away. Ministers are appointed by the senior
Pastor and First Lady, for additional information please
call the church to request an appointment. Ministers and
missionaries are required to attend Ministers Leadership
meeting on a TBA basis.
Mother’s Board
Dedicated prayer warriors and intercessors, the Mother’s
Board is the hallmark pillar of virtue and obedience on
which the church stands. Acceptance on this board
requires that a woman be a seasoned senior veteran of Christian
morals and principals and a Titus 2 mentor who is able
to exhibit a cohesive godly lifestyle to the younger
women particularly and to the entire body collectively.
Mothers of DEC Ministry must also be accountable to
Paul’s outline for elders in the church in I Timothy
3:8-13.
Music Department: Voices of Deliverance
The Supernatural Voices of Deliverance has been in
existence for more than forty years. This choir consists
of a multi-generational group, lifting the name of Jesus
through the ministry of song and music. You can be a
part of the choir by speaking with the Choir President
Rev. Dawn Nichol- Butler. You will be interviewed and
asked to audition for placement in the soprano, alto, or
tenor section. The choir views singing as a ministry and
upholds the responsibility of being committed to all
required church services and events. If you are

Thursday at 7:30 PM to 10:30 PM.
Praise Ministry
Encompasses the worship teams, the liturgical dance and
flag ministry. This ministry requires individuals to be
“true worshippers” according to John 4:23-24,
Individuals who recognize the necessity of spiritual
warfare and are willing to assist in ushering God’s
presence into the mist of service. Rehearsal times are
primarily on Thursday night, but may vary. To arrange an
audition please contact the church for further
instructions.
None Like Us Children’s Ministry
None Like Us is the children's department of DEC
Ministries for ages five to twelve. The ministry is
designed for children to experience their own church
services appropriate to their age level and need.
Services are held Sundays from 12:00 pm to approximately
1:30 pm in the Lower Auditorium Theater, while parents
attend services in the main sanctuary. During the
services children receive a Bible lesson, arts & crafts,
and a light snack. ***Parents with children in NLUCM are
required to volunteer a minimum of one week per month.
Summer Camp
During the summer for seven weeks None Like Us offers a
free summer camp for ages five to twelve. Math and
Reading enrichment, music, drama, dance, recreational
activities and field trips are offered. The camp runs
from Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm.
After care services are offered at a minimal price. The
kids enjoy specially designed activities that promote
great fun and learning. For more information or to

Nurses Board
Attends to needs of individuals who may
become ill during services. In addition nurses assist the Pastor
during alter calls. Nurses may also be assigned duties to assist the
Pastors during services in the church or away during evangelistic
events. Meetings are on a TBA basis.
Pastor’s Aid
Assist the Pastor in and with special events and activities. Monthly
activities are primarily facilitated through teleconferences.
Meetings are on a TBA basis.
Usher Board
It is a high honor to be gatekeeper
to God’s House; to assist individuals is finding adequate seating
and necessary information about the ministry and facility. Ushers
are also called upon to assist with special and evangelistic events
on the church grounds or away. Male ushers generally assist with
church security. Meetings are on a TBA basis.
Television / Tape Ministry
Assist with audio-visual recording the weekly Rhema Word
for Today broadcast. Assist production team with the use
and care of audio-visual equipment. Television/Tape
ministry workers are required to be at church by 10:30
AM on Sunday mornings, and as arranged for special
tapings.
Women of Heritage
The women’s auxiliary was founded by the former First
Lady of Deliverance; the late Evangelist Alee Patricia
Nichol, as a means to motivate, encourage and promote
healing and unity among the women of the church. Open to
women of all ages, regular fellowship and group
activities help the women of Deliverance explore new
horizons in personal growth and ministry. Meetings are
primary on the 3rd Saturday of each month, but may vary
due to church programs and schedules.
Greeters
Formed as part of the Women of Heritage, for the purpose of
making sure every visitor to DEC Ministries is welcomed with a smile
and a spirit of genuine acceptance. It is one of the most important
ministries in the church as it is the first impression individuals
have of the ministry. Greeters are assigned according to need and or
specific events. Meetings are on a TBA basis.
The Forerunners:
Encompass evangelism and outreach activities, and
assisting ministerial staff during alter calls.
Hands That Help
A ministry designed to specifically support unwed
teenage mothers on the streets. Hands that Help supplies
diapers, clothing and other necessities for mothers with
newborn infants free of charge. If you are a new teen
mother or know someone who is please call the church for
assistance.
Hands That Helps also accepts donations of new or in
like new condition clothing and items for suitable for
newborn babies.
Missionaries
Encompasses outreach ministry to prisons, shut-in, hospital and
convalescing home visitation, and bereavement activities. Meetings
are on a TBA basis.
New Members Orientation
Designed to help new
believers and individuals transferring from other churches to become
acclimated to the Biblical traditions and practices of DEC
Ministries. The six-week course surveys The Trinity, Salvation, The
Body of Christ, Tithing and Stewardship, our Vision, Church Policies
and how new members can get involved. The Class meets Sunday
mornings from 9:45 am to 10:45 am in the DPN Museum Café. The class is
required for all new believers and transferring members
unless otherwise indicated by the Pastor. All six weeks
are required to be considered for ministry placement.

Public Relations
DEC Ministries is looking for a PR volunteers to assist
us with the Nehemiah Project and other specific
objectives. Some compensation is available on a sliding
scale depending on need and outcome. Please contact the

Transportation
DEC Ministries is need of class D drivers for Sundays
and midweek services. References and prior experience

360 Degrees Youth Ministry
Open to all teenagers. 360 is focused on healing
America’s Youth through Let’s Kick It Bible Study, Spunk
Night Youth Club Fellowships, and a Rights of Passage
curriculum that creates an environment that promotes
responsible accountable growth and leadership. Schedules
are announced seasonally. |
